About
3D Printing (also called Additive Manufacturing), involves the design of an object/product (3D model) using a computer software, which is subsequently manufactured with a 3D Printer, typically layer by layer. 3D Printing plays an important role in manufacturing, medical, educational, and industrial sectors, due to several benefits such as the design of complex geometry, customisation of objects, less waste and fast production.
The webinar is organised by the Sector Skills Strategy in Additive Manufacturing (SAM) Project. It will take place on Zoom (Zoom link will be provided after registration) and will be hosted by Dr Eujin Pei (Eujin) and Dr Adeayo Sotayo (Ade) from Brunel University London, and will cover:
1. What is 3D Printing
2. What Materials are used for 3D Printing
3. What can I 3D Print
4. Why 3D Printing
5. How 3D Printing is solving a global problem
6. How to build a simple 3D model using TinkerCAD software
7. What jobs can I do with 3D Printing
8. Recap
9. Feedback Survey
