OCEAN- digital validation of learning

The OCEAN project brings together a network of organisations from Belgium, Germany, France, Greece and Spain to create a digital platform for the validation of non-formal and informal learning (VNFIL). The main objective is to facilitate and accelerate the validation of these acquired knowledge and skills in the field of advanced manufacturing within the IAMQS and EWF education systems.

The aim is  

• to establish a reliable digital system that can guarantee the authenticity and validity of assessment and self-assessment by third parties (e.g. employers and education and training institutions), supported by a quality assurance system and recognised by both the education system and industry.
• to develop tools to support the VNFIL process, both online and in combination, in order to simplify the process and improve accessibility for adults wishing to undertake these processes;
• to build capacity with intermediaries and pilot VNFIL processes with professionals experienced in advanced manufacturing.
